Finding her Indigenous Roots
Cheekbone Beauty is a female Indigenous-owned, digitally-native Canadian cosmetics company that creates high-quality, cruelty-free, beauty products --with a mission.
Indigenous herself, founder Jenn Harper has personal stories, struggles, and connections, with her Indigenous roots, and the Residential School System. Through these life experiences, Jenn also has developed a vested interest in the funding gap that exists between Indigenous and non-Indigenous students.
When creating her cosmetics company, it was important to Jenn that her beauty brand, be more than a beauty brand. This is when she researched and found the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society. It was a natural decision that part of her brand's mission would be to support this organization. Cheekbone Beauty now does this through the donation of 10% of profits to Shannen's Dream (https://fncaringsociety.com/shannens-dream).
